Job Summary
Accounts Payable Supervisor will supervise and coordinate accounts payable functions in financial shared services leading a team of employees. Responsibilities include oversight of timely processing of inventory and non-inventory invoices, matching invoices and facilitating resolution of discrepancies. They will identify and implement process efficiencies, leveraging technology and updating policies. This position requires strong leadership skills to supervise team members and work and communicate across all levels of management. They will work closely with Branch personnel including Operations Managers, Customer Service Representatives, and Branch Procurement Specialists.

Supervise, coordinate and monitor daily invoice processing operationsPlay a key role in developing and modifying the payables systems, procedures and policiesMonitor all Accounts Payable activities and insuring adherence to established accounting procedures, policies and SOX controlsAssist and collaborate with team on daily questions, issues and problemsEffectively managing and prioritizing workload efficiently and accurately while maintaining a positive customer service cultureEngage in and suggest continuous process improvement ideas to use best practices for processing, resolving issues and sharing analytics to managementMentor team and give feedback on quarterly basisPerform end of month and year end activities including the 1099 processes and reporting
People Management
Encourage the growth of all direct and indirect reports through skill development and goal settingHold direct reports accountable for meeting performance standards and departmental performance goalsMentor employees, measure performance, and complete regular performance reviewsResolve employee issues in an effective and consistent manner
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelorโs Degree in Finance or Accounting.At least 3 years of progressive Accounts Payable Supervisory experience.Possesses professional interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.Proven experience identifying and implementing best practices and policiesExceptional organizational, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills and shows a great attention to detail.Demonstrate strong knowledge of use of technology.

Experience with Lawson, SAP, Outlook, Microsoft Office

Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday May occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers and vendors
Environmental Factors
This position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The buildingโs primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.
