Accounts Payable Specialist (hybrid after 6 months)

We’re hiring on behalf of an established 40+ years and thriving construction firm in El Cajon. We seek a passionate and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in financial operations and transition towards digital excellence.

💼 Role Impact: Enhance financial procedures and transition to digital operations.

✍️ Key Responsibilities:

Execute invoice processing and manage transactions.Support month-end reconciliation and financial reporting.Execute a three-way match by aligning invoices with purchase orders and proof of delivery.Process a substantial volume of invoices weekly, primarily related to materials and overhead/utility.Contribute actively to the company's initiative to transition from a nearly 100% paper-based system to digital operations.Address and solve issues related to invoice discrepancies and statement balances.Interact regularly with the company's buyers and manage relationships with key vendors.

🎓 Candidate Profile:

1-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, with a preference for candidates familiar with the construction industry.Knowledge of job costing, phase codes, construction procurement, and three-way match procedures.Proficiency with Vista software is preferred; familiarity with Sage and CMIC is advantageous.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, direct environment.Strong interpersonal skills to fit into the company culture, which values teamwork, efficiency, and straightforward communication.
