Your role with us

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. The Senior Buyer will be a motivated and organized individual who plays a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services necessary for our manufacturing process. This position requires a strategic mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management within equipment manufacturing.

You have the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You assess the urgency and importance of various tasks, strategically allocating your time and resources to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality. Whether it involves juggling multiple projects simultaneously or swiftly adapting to shifting priorities, your proactive approach and effective time management skills enable you to thrive in dynamic work settings.

You have Supply Chain experience. You have in depth knowledge of quality standards and industry best practices related to procurement and supply chain management.

How you will contribute to our growth

Strategic Sourcing Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships that align with the company’s objectives and quality standards. Continually seek new sourcing opportunities to achieve cost reduction, cost avoidance, and cost containment objectives

Supplier Relationship Management Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and components while optimizing costs and mitigating risks.Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards, to secure advantageous contracts and minimize supply chain disruptions.Monitor supplier performance metrics, conduct regular supplier audits, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality requirements.

Cost and Risk Management Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, value engineering, and alternative sourcing strategies without compromising product quality or delivery timelines. Proactively identify potential supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of supply.

Cross Functional Collaboration Work closely with cross functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and project management to align procurement activities with production schedules, quality standards, and project requirements.

What you will need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or Systems Engineering or 5 years’ experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or production planning in manufacturing operationExperience in and understanding of lean manufacturing and materials conceptsProficient in excel, work, and ERP systemsEquipment manufacturing procurement experience preferredProfessional certification (CSCP, CPSM) a plus
