We're on the lookout for a remote Drug & Alcohol Counselor to join the leading digital clinic for substance addictions. As a key member of our counseling team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting and empowering individuals on their journey to overcome substance addictions. Your main objective will be guiding members towards leading addiction-free lives! Collaborating closely with our dynamic team, you'll contribute to the rapid growth of our business, gaining invaluable firsthand experience in scaling up a successful venture.

This remote position is open to candidates located anywhere in the USA, with the condition that they hold the required licensing in the state specified in the job posting.

As a Addiction Counselor or Clinical Addiction Counselor, You Will:

Provide counseling to members on a weekly basis through text-based chat, video calls, and phone calls, to monitor their progress on their recovery journeyOnboard the users with an initial phone call and complete a multidimensional assessment to gather relevant behavioral health history and symptomsMonitor the progress of members and offer therapeutic strategies on how to deal with temptations and cravingsBe supportive and encouraging to members to help them establish and sustain motivation to change their substance useCollaborate with other departments to ensure a positive experience for all members and provide valuable feedback to the product development teamUphold good standing with your active license(s)/certification(s)Attend team meetings and/or case discussions as scheduledMaintain up-to-date availability; we’re looking for a commitment of 10 hours per month to begin as a minimumHelp someone transform their life and the life of their family through their addiction recovery!

We Are Looking For You To Bring

Minimum 2 years of clinical experience delivering CBT and/or behavioral support for individuals with substance use disorders, including tobacco, alcohol, and/or opioid use disordersHave a BS/BA Proficient with evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Medication Assisted Treatments, and Relapse PreventionAbility to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals from different disciplines, including coaches, physicians and nursesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to adapt to fast-changing environmentsAbility to prioritize competing work demandsTechnologically proficient and able to swiftly adapt to technological developmentsBonus: Quantitative/qualitative research experience

Qualifications

Hold an active state credential (license/certification) issued via a state credentialing boardPotential eligible credentials may include: Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) Preference given for unrestricted credentials i.e. able to work independently, without supervision from a licensed supervisorHold a relevant credential (license/certification) that is eligible/recognized by a national credentialing body– either the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) and/or the Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC)

The provided range reflects our US target hourly range for this part-time position. Individual pay within the range will vary based on a variety of factors like role-related experience and education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business factors.
