📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

POSITION TITLE: Facilities Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Chief Operations Officer

PAY RANGE: $27.49 to $33 per hour

JOB PURPOSE: To ensure the efficient completion of all maintenance, custodial and landscaping activities to provide a safe, clean, and professional environment to help deliver behavioral healthcare to our community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides direct supervision to all maintenance staff including routine performance appraisals pursuant to agency standards.Administers discipline to assigned staff when necessary.Coordinates with Human Resources in the hiring and firing of maintenance department staff in accordance with Peninsula Behavioral Health policy and procedure.Periodically review the job descriptions and wages paid in the maintenance department. Notifies Human Resources to any inconsistencies, while making suggestions for correction if necessary.Monitors the hours worked by the staff in the maintenance department by reviewing each time sheet. Authorizing overtime as necessary and in accordance with PBH policy and procedure.Coordinates and participates in all necessary maintenance, custodial duties, and landscaping for all agency facilities.Ensures the repair and maintenance of all facilities.Ensures completion of custodial duties to include routine daily waste disposal, vacuuming and cleaning of bathroom and kitchen areas.Ensures lawn and grounds are maintained to professional standards.Arranges for or performs periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) deep cleaning activities including but not limited to, window washing, cleaning of carpets, upholstery, stove, oven, refrigerator, furnace filters, and outside gutters.Performs or coordinates special project renovation or remodel duties on agency sites, including painting, carpentry, and electrical work.Makes assigned purchases for the agency and assures stocks of operating and household supplies are maintained.Ensures Safety Data Sheet binders are maintained to reflect all cleaning supplies and other chemicals onsite are properly documented.Assures maintenance and repair of agency vehicles.Coordinates with subcontractors on projects as assigned.Maintains familiarity with and handles client information in accordance with Federal Regulations (42 CFR, Part 2), the Revised Code of Washington (RCW 71.05.390 and RCW 71.24), and other applicable laws pertaining to confidentiality of clients and staff information.Maintains physical security of confidential materials and assigned Agency property.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project management and oversight as it pertains to the facilities, vehicles, and equipment.Interacts professionally with all staff, visitors, and contractors.Attends monthly supervisors' meeting.Actively participates in performance improvement activities and committees.Memo writing, post order review/revision.Transporting of equipment and furniture.Keeps CEO informed of imminent or significant maintenance expenses.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Ensures adequate maintenance of all facilities to an appropriate professional standard.Submits performance evaluations for assigned staff annually.Build and manage a strong cohesive maintenance team.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSE(S), CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: Minimum High School Diploma/GED.

Experience: 5 years' experience in maintenance, custodial or general caretaker positions, with 1 year of supervisory experience or progressive responsibility. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and local building codes.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL CREDENTIALS/EXPERIENCE

Experience: Experience contracting and coordinating with subcontractors. Experience working in/with construction field is a plus.
