Qualification Requirements
Education And/or Experience
Two plus years of tool & die experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings and schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to correctly perform basic shop math, simple trigonometry and Statistical Process Control calculations.

Position Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, constructs, alters and repairs a wide variety of tools, jigs, dies, fixtures and gauges to very close tolerances.Performs development work, difficult tool room operations, skilled fittings, timing and adjusting.Plans construction procedures and methods and selects materials.Makes allowances for shrinkage during heat-treating of tools and metal flow in dies.Makes tool tryouts.Follows all departmental procedures to ensure quality requirements are met.May be required to work overtime as business conditions dictate.Diagnoses and corrects trouble in complicated dies and tools.Performs other duties as required.
