Civil Engineer - Land Development

Pennoni is currently looking for a Civil Engineer/Land Development with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities

Perform tasks on multi-discipline projects on a variety of project sites within the City of Winchester as well as the surrounding region. Work on the development of Land Development Plans including the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specification, and engineering reports (from schematic design through construction). Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large scale, complex projects. Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analysis (including Stormwater Management Water Quantity & Quality compliance). Work on multiple projects and tasks. Complete field inspections, as needed. Prepare proposals for new & existing clients (including estimation of project fees). Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline). 3+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with Land Development design projects. Applicants without degree and 7-9 years site civil design experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the Land Development process in the Winchester and Martinsburg surrounding region. Knowledge of site design functions: site layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion control, municipal & land-use regulatory approvals, etc. Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools. Proficiency with engineering tools; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus!Proficiency on standard office software applications: Microsoft Office 365 (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, etc.; experience working with Bluebeam Revu is a plus!Proven track record of demonstrating punctuality with consistent attendance. Proven ability to work in an energetic & challenging team environment as a collaborative Team Player, especially while maintaining the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
