Job Responsibilities
Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Survey Crew Leader with experience consistent, but not limited to:
Responsible to lead a field survey crew in geodetic surveys for a boundary, topographic, construction, and engineering land surveying projectsProficiency with the operation of total stations, data collectors, GPS systems and robotic instrumentsGather field survey data with conventional, robotic, and Global Positioning System (GPS) methodsAdjust & operate surveying instruments i.e., prisms, total stations, GPS/electronic distance-measuring equipment, auto-levelsPrepare field notes, drawings and perform complex survey calculationsAbility to work alone or with a one/two-person crewInstruct and train survey crew in surveying and mapping methods, use of equipment, and field safety proceduresAbility to perform computations and QA/QC checks on work performedAbility to safely operate ATV, UTV or similar vehicleMust demonstrate a clear commitment to delivering excellent customer service exemplified by the finished work product, be it a support service or tangible end-product
Required Attributes
High School Degree or equivalentMinimum of 4 years of work experience in the field as a surveyor and 4 years experience as a leader. Due to the unique nature of consulting engineering and planning services, prior experience in our industry is highly desirable. Clean driving record with valid Florida driver's license and ability to pass USDOT driver check. Capable of field work and manual labor.
