We believe that real people sharing lived experiences is the most effective content for causes, campaigns, and brands. Our content is highly personal, incredibly creative, and generates significantly higher engagement and recall compared to company-created brand content. People First has a rich history in micro influencer campaigns for politics and causes and has expanded to work with consumer brands as well. Our clients include Planned Parenthood, Black Lives Matter PAC, Biden-Harris, Latino Victory Fund, and many other leading organizations and brands.

California Organizer Description - Hybrid (Remote & In Person)Our California Organizer will organize online and in-person.

This role involves recruiting school food professionals from California public schools to create digital content that highlights the significance of their profession. The Organizer will report directly to the Lead Digital Relational Organizer on the campaign on a regular basis. Key responsibilities include engaging with community members to join our campaign.

Activities may involve attending local events, being present at various locations (small businesses, parks/recreation centers, school events) to interact with potential participants, sending direct messages across social media platforms, and more.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and possess strong in-person and digital communication skills.

Core Responsibilities Organizing and Recruitment Find and recruit school food professionals Assist with participant sign-up and onboarding processTrack participants, their submissions, and progress using spreadsheets and company platforms Provide instructions for posting and auditing live contentGenerate solutions if your recruitment tactic is not yielding resultsQualifications (preferred):

Self motivated and able to problem solve Knowledge of the California public school system Open to learning new skills and working remotely Experience in grassroots organizing Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to connect with diverse audiences and communitiesExperience coordinating events and mobilizing supportersKnowledge of digital advocacy tools and social media platformsExcellent organizational and project management skillsAbility to work independently and remotely, with strong self-motivationPassionate about social justice and advocacyKnowledge of local communities in an area of CADuration: 3 months; May 1st, 2024 to August 1st, 2024 with the possibility of extensionHours: Must be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
