Our Controller will handle the financial and accounting operations of our rapidly growing organizations. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic thinker, having an entrepreneurial spirit and a growth mindset, to collaborate with our Executive Team to grow our business. We offer a competitive compensation structure with a base salary of $110,000 to $120,000/annually commensurate with experience. Requirements for the Controller role at Troy Clogg Landscape Associates:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field;7+ years of experience in accounting positions, including 5+ years in a Controller position;In-depth experience and knowledge of accounting principles/theories (GAAP, FASB);Demonstrated leadership experience;Intermediate to advance experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;Proficiency in QuickBooks;Experience with LMN software is a plus.

Responsibilities for Controller at Troy Clogg Landscape Associates will include, but are not limited to:Ensuring timely completion of all day-to-day accounting activities and preparation of monthly financial statements, including:Tracking expenses to ensure accurate job costing for projects;Leading the monthly and year end closing process and preparation of financial statements and cash flow projections;Creating and monitoring the budget and cashflow projections.

Creating a full system of reporting tools and accounting processes to support decision making in a data driven environment, including:Creating monthly reporting for tracking progress of the business including KPIs, A/R aging report, tracking on line of credit usage and debt ratios;Leveraging technology to extract and analyze data on key measures for the businesses;Conducting ongoing analysis of financial results and efficiency measures.

Analyzing data to identify opportunities to improve financial results or address potential risks to the organization, including:Researching opportunities to improve the financial outcomes of the business and preparing recommendations for the Executive Team;Supporting and training division leaders to interpret and leverage reporting to drive business decisions.

Acting as a leader within the organization, including but not limited to:Managing our finance team to exceptional performance by overseeing the day-to-day operations of our finance team;Coaching and developing finance team members;Acting as a strategic leader for TCLA and all related subsidiaries.
