Job Overview

As an Internal Audit Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the execution of risk-based operational, financial, and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance audits necessary to promote the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information; to evaluate compliance with internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations; and to analyze the system of internal controls.

Essential Functions/Job Duties

Shadow internal audit team members to learn about the audit processes.Perform audit test work and documentation under the supervision of a lead auditor.Identify, develop, and document detailed audit observations and recommendations for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.Ability to meticulously review documents and identify discrepancies.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Willingness to collaborate with team members and learn from experienced auditors.Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Must be at least a Junior or above in a discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Proof of completion of a 400 or 500 level auditing course(s).
