📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

Role Summary

This is an exciting time to join the growing Sterile Injectable (SI) Pipeline Execution and Value team within the Hospital Business Unit at Pfizer. This is a unique professional opportunity to drive the commercial value strategy and ensure go-to-market excellence for key SI pipeline assets from early stage through to launch.

The Hospital business is at the forefront of driving patient impact with its industry leading portfolio of > 200 sterile injectables and delivery platforms including anti-infectives, chemotherapy, anesthetics and others critical medicines used in the Hospital care setting.

The SI Pipeline Commercial Value Lead will be the single point of accountability for protecting and enhancing the value of each funded pipeline project in their assigned portfolio and ensuring projects are launched on time, on strategy, and on value. The scope of the role is Global with a strong near-term emphasis on delivering the existing waves of programs along with supporting the advancement of early-stage projects with a focus on US opportunities and expansion to ex-US markets. The role will report into the SI Pipeline Execution & Value Lead.

Role Responsibilities

Define the commercial strategy for assigned portfolio of SI Pipeline assets, including product, market development, go to market strategies and launch preparedness with key collaboration from cross functional stakeholdersAct as single point of accountability for protecting and enhancing the value of each pipeline program and ensure on strategy, on time, on value launch for funded projectsEnsure that commercial strategies, objectives, plans are clearly communicated to enable the subsequent implementation of technical execution requirements on time and on budgetDevelop comprehensive commercial launch plans and product maximization roadmaps Identify key environment shaping strategies as appropriate and generate market level insights to incorporate into planning and forecasting. Lead operating plan and business case updates in collaboration with key markets; clarify variances from previous year, commercial risks and opportunities, OPEX requirementsRepresent the “Voice of the Customer” within key cross-functional teams, ensuring that teams are working towards delivering in support of strategic objectives set for each asset’s Target Value ProfileInfluence and empower team members and colleagues to strive for excellence and enable fast and business-critical decision-making Set bold strategies to evolve the business model and maximize the long-term value of pipeline programsRepresent these programs internally and create a collaborative network that leverages the value of others (country, region, global and HQ) Develop financial scenarios to aid in decision making and to support program milestone deliverables; collaborate with Inline Business and Finance partners to ensure alignment with forecasts and P&Ls during commercial developmentCollaborate with Global Marketing team and regions to ensure timely and seamless transition pre-launchEfficiently manage OPEX budget for this portfolioEnsure Biopharma project responsibilities, deliverables, and follow-ups are completed with close collaboration and interactions with Program Design & Execution LeadsBuild and maintain a proactive and accountable project team culturePartner across functional lines to simplify ways of working and accelerate programs

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred5+ years of broad pharmaceutical experience in commercial development, product development, marketing, operations, strategy, or financeStrong self-starter with a proven track record of delivering results in complex and matrixed environment, leading and building resilient project teams and driving impact through influence, collaboration and clear decision making

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Hospital/Sterile Injectables/multi-source portfolio and knowledge of delivery platforms (US/Global)Experience interfacing and working knowledge of R&D and Manufacturing/supply organizations. Knowledge of generic landscape including IP and regulatory environment. Market / P&L experience ideal including launch, US experience preferredStrong marketing and strategic planning skills and experience; technical expertise in end-to-end lifecycle management of a product, launch planning and executionTrack record of empowering and holding people accountable with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence across functions to drive decisions within a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment. Role model of Pfizer’s values and behaviors and of cutting the red tapeStrong leadership & influencing skills; demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional matrix teams to drive decisions within a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment. Strong analytical skills with experience in gathering insights that will drive assumptions for financial forecasts. Experience in modeling, and data analysis skills. Ability to build and analyze financial models to forecast, make decisions, and track results.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
