Leasing Professional Position Overview: As a Leasing Professional, you are often the first person that potential residents meet. You’ll guide them through the application process and show them how your community—with its fabulous amenities, fantastic location, and comfortable floor plans—is the place they’ll want to make their home.Once residents move in, you’ll keep building a relationship with them, listening to their comments and concerns and taking point to resolve their issues; scheduling their maintenance requests and following up on repairs; planning socials and functions for everyone to enjoy; and keeping up with the general administration of running the office. How You'll Contribute to The Workplace: Include the following, but are not limited to:LeasingGreet prospectsKnowledge of required telephone and sales techniquesFull knowledge of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all property amenitiesKnowledge of competitive properties rent levels, features and amenitiesManage the application process for residentsAssist prospective residents with application as neededEnsure follow-up with all residents, prospects and applicants in a timely mannerEnsure model, if applicable and target apartments are ready for showEnsure office is ready to open daily; maintain a clean office and work areaDistribute all company or community-issued notices timely, as necessaryEnsure apartments are ready to move-in on agreed dateMonitor lease renewals. Distribute and follow-up on lease renewal noticesSecure resident signature(s) on appropriate paperwork prior to move in and orient new residents to communityRepresent the company in a professional manner at all timesAdhere to all local, state and federal Fair Housing guidelinesResident RetentionReceive all telephone calls and in-person visitsListen to all resident’s requests, concerns and commentsPrepare and complete maintenance service requests accurately and in a timely fashionFollowing up with residents after maintenance work is performed for quality assuranceMaintain open communication with Property Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance TechniciansContribute to cleanliness and curb appeal of the community on continuing basisAssist in planning resident functions as directed by the Property ManagerEnforce policies of the communityAdministrativeKnow how to effectively operate computers and the company software; including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, Real Page products and other related software and/or internet-based applicationsUnderstand the lease and credit report application processesAccept rental paymentsComply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as all company policies, procedures and regulationsEnsure all required data entry is correct and completed in a timely fashion, as directedAssist in lease transactionsHow We Reward & Support You: Providing personalized career growth opportunities through ongoing educational classes and industry certificationsOngoing leasing training opportunities (in-house) and with local apartment associationsRewarding with competitive pay and benefits.
