Role Overview:As a pivotal member of our finance team, the Staff Accountant will collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO, driving various critical aspects of our financial operations. We seek an adept accounting professional with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in GL, AP, & AR functions. Excel prowess, stellar communication, and a penchant for teamwork are paramount. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about accounting and thriving within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
Ensure the precision of all financial reporting activities through close collaboration with the team.Support in the meticulous preparation of weekly and monthly royalty calculations.Facilitate customer billing processes and the application of weekly & monthly payments.Manage accounts payable and credit card expenses with efficiency.Aid in the seamless execution of month-end and year-end closures.Proactively monitor, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and reconciling items.Contribute to the identification and implementation of process enhancements and best practices.Undertake additional accounting responsibilities as necessitated to bolster the accounting team.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred; however, recent qualified college graduates are highly encouraged to apply. We value fresh perspectives and are eager to welcome talented individuals who are passionate about launching their careers in the dynamic field of accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or analogous software.Experience in franchise or multi-company settings is advantageous.Familiarity with QuickBooks and other accounting systems is preferred.
