Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Production SupportOverview: We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong background in production support to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Java/J2EE development, Spring framework, PostgreSQL database management, and proficiency in tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Harness, Groovy, and Jira administration. This role requires a proactive problem-solving mindset, a keen eye for performance optimization, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, reliability, and scalability of our production systems.

Responsibilities:Provide production support and ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems and applications.Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain Java/J2EE applications in production environments.Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning, schema design, and backup/recovery procedures.Utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace to proactively identify issues and trends, and implement necessary enhancements.Develop automation scripts and tools using Groovy to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.Administer Jira instances, including user management, project setup, and workflow configuration, to support agile development processes.Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy applications using Harness and ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are robust and efficient.Participate in on-call rotation schedules and respond to production incidents in a timely manner, adhering to SLAs and incident management procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for system monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role, with a focus on production support.Strong proficiency in Java development and Spring framework.Experience with PostgreSQL/NoSQL database administration and SQL query optimization.Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Groovy, for automation tasks.Prior experience in Jira administration, including user management and workflow configuration.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools like Harness.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
