📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client, a Financial Services Firm, is seeking a Reconciliation Analyst in their New York, NY location:
Responsibilities:Reconciliation: The candidate will perform the day-to-day reconciliation responsibilities, executing the steps necessary to run reconciliations (50% of time)Load data, execute automatch, monitor scheduled activityFollow up on issuesCoordinate with Ops teams to manually match items, investigate exceptions until resolutionCreate and distribute reconciliation reports to stakeholders. Generate metrics
Projects: Actively Participate in reconciliation projects (50% of time)Receive training in the recon applicationWork with the team to build new automated reconciliationsPerform data analysis and test recon dataConfigure the recon application to perform data transformations and matching rulesDocument requirementsWork with recon stakeholders to implement new processes, provide training if necessaryParticipate in projects to develop metrics and reporting
Qualifications:Minimum 2 years working in the reconciliation space, either as reconciler or recon developerA quick learner. Ability to work independently, solve problems and think logicallyAbility to manage stakeholder and end user meetings and manage UATStrong written skills (to document procedures and requirements) and analytical skills (data analysis)Background in financial services with knowledge of one or more of the following: loans, securities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, general ledger/ accountingThe ideal candidate would have advanced EXCEL skills (pivot tables, formulas), knowledge of a reconciliation application (such as Duco, IntelliMatch, Smartstream…).PowerBI, Alteryx, Cognos, Denodo and SQL knowledge are also desired, but not required
