Why you'll love this job.This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.Responsible for both traditional and cloud-based infrastructure implementations based on designs from infrastructure architects.What you'll doProvides good understanding of concepts related to server load balancing, WAS clustering, and other application scaling concepts.Troubleshoots and resolves middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments.Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the systems including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.Encourages an environment of sharing and teamwork among the team.Stays current with systems technology best practices and changing technologies, in order to maintain domain expertise and recommend enhancements or changes.Supports communication and response process by responding to users on system issues, maintenance, and system status, and advising and escalating on any prolonged or major issues.Travels, as required.Mandatory rotational schedule for on-call off-hours supportAll you'll need for success.Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.3 years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or administrator3 years LINUX (RHEL8) experience, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, IBM Cognos and IBM Cloud or MS AzurePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceMasters degree in computer science computer engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training5 years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or administratorSkills, Licenses & CertificationsAdvanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutionsIn-depth knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processesAbility to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workaroundsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledgeAbility to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practicesDemonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environmentsProficiency in Agile project management methodology, specifically within infrastructure areaKnowledge and hands on experience with FTP and secure FTPExperience in working with IBM WebSphere/Tomcat/IBM Http Server and IBM Cognos Reporting ServerKnowledge and understanding on SSL certificates , PGP encryption and NAS storagesKnowledge and support of Dynatrace and Splunk tools installationsKnowledge and work experience on various components like Kubernetes, VPC, subnets, CI/CD in IBM Cloud/MS AzureShell and Perl scripting capability knowledge in respect to setting up monitoring and alerting for Unix/Linux systems.
