Network Engineer

Pinnacle Partners is assisting our client in the search for a Senior Network Engineer to join their team North of the Indianapolis, IN area. This successful resource will be responsible for leading and evolving infrastructure supporting operations. RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage firewalls, data security systems, and network monitoring to keep data and communications protectedIdentify, document, and validate compliance of network and infrastructure security best practicesPlan and implement new systems, upgrades, and patchingAdvise on the expansion of current infrastructure including cloud opportunities to meet demandsMaintain infrastructure for networking, storage, and compute with focus for minimal downtimeMake recommendations to improve network performance for all systemsTroubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to IT team membersRecommend and implement disaster recover procedures and solutions REQUIREMENTS:Associate’s degree7+ years of work experience in IT Network Operations in a multi-site, enterprise environmentExperience with Cisco, VM Ware, O365, exchange onlineWorking knowledge of ITIL concepts and best practices with emphasis on Data Center practicesBackground in network administration and architectureWorking knowledge of infrastructure technologies including Virtualization, Advanced Firewall Management, Microsoft server, Azure and Office 365, Hyperconverged, etc.Knowledge of coding languages for scripting/automation PREFERRED SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS:Bachelor’s degree TERMS:This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary up to $95K based on experience.
