Bacteriology Scientist II

Piper Health Sciences is seeking a Bacteriology Scientist II to join an organization supporting infectious disease research in Frederick, MD. The Bacteriology Scientist II will conduct research on bacterial threats through in vivo animal studies.

Responsibilities of the Bacteriology Scientist II include

Plan and execute scientific studies by performing bacterial assays, animal procedures, data collection, and manuscript development Carefully handle controlled substancesAssist with in vivo studies using various animal models of infectious diseasePerform animal observations, injections, blood draws, and euthanasia Review all raw data and ensure proper corrections are made

Qualifications for the Bacteriology Scientist II include

3+ years of experience in the fields of bacteriology, animal physiology, or similar field of researchMust be a US citizen who is eligible for a Security Clearance Good laboratory practices (GLP)Ph.D. or D.V.M.

Compensation for the Bacteriology Scientist II include

Salary Range: $90,000 - 104,000 **depending on experience**Full Benefits: Cigna Medical/Dental/Vision, 401k
