Piper Companies is seeking a HPC Systems Administrator with an academic medical center in Philadelphia for a contract-to-hire, remote opportunity.
Responsibilities for the HPC Systems Administrator
Focused on HPC (High performance computing).Manage Linux-based clustered computing environment (RedHat, CentOS preferred).Working with an underlying storage system running GPFS.Upgrade incoming projects, understand testing, preparation, understand interdependencies, and other variables across environment.Help users with requests, troubleshooting, debugging.
Requirements for the HPC Systems Administrator
Bachelor's Degree required.Experience with Linux based clustered computing, RedHat and CentOS for supporting servers.Programming skills: Bash, Python, Perl, R.Experience reviewing/debugging scientific computing pipelines, assisting researchers with compilation errorsAcademic medical center environment.InfiniBand network support experience.Cloud experience, using Azure.Familiarity with HIPAA compliance regulations.LSF for job scheduling, Slurm is also a popular tool.
Compensation/Benefits for the HPC Systems Administrator
Targeting around $60/hour, comparable salary upon conversion.Fully remote. Opportunities for on-site events.Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, 401k
