Piper Companies is currently seeking a Metrology QC Technician for an opportunity in Buffalo, New York (NY), to join a company focused on ophthalmic related medical device and equipment manufacturing.
Responsibilities Of The Metrology QC Technician
Conduct incoming inspection activities including part receipt, visual & mechanical inspection, documentation, ERP updates, and non-conforming material managementPerform First Article Inspection and Final Product Verification, as well as participate in auditsSupport internal calibration program and engineering with sample inspection reportsCollaborate with Production and Engineering teams, address product quality issues, and manage supplier relationships
Qualifications Of The Metrology QC Technician
3+ years of metrology experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Quality InspectionExperience using various measurement gauges such as CMM, optical comparator, micrometer, caliper, height gauge, multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.Computer competency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, ERP systems EQMS (Compliant Pro), and Calibration databasesExperience interacting with suppliers of optical components and machined parts is desiredAssociate of Applied Science, Bachelor's degree, or comparable technical education is required
Compensation For The Metrology QC Technician
Salary Range: $24.85/hourBenefits: Full, comprehensive benefits package
