📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a dedicated and skilled Molecular Research Associate to join our team focused on infectious disease studies in the Frederick, MD area. The Molecular Research Associate will be responsible for performing various molecular biology techniques, including DNA and RNA analysis, qPCR, PCR, and ELISA assays.
Responsibilities of the Molecular Research Associate includes
Perform DNA and RNA extractions, amplifications, and quantifications using qPCR and PCR methodologies. Design and optimize experimental protocols for the detection and analysis of infectious agents. Conduct ELISA assays for the detection of specific biomarkers or antibodies related to infectious diseases. Process and analyze experimental data, maintaining accurate and detailed records for subsequent analysis and reporting. Assist in laboratory upkeep and maintenance, including organizing supplies, equipment calibration, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Follow established laboratory SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and maintain a high standard of safety awareness.
Qualifications of the Molecular Research Associate includes
1+ years of hands-on experience performing various molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extractions, qPCR, PCR and ELISA Assays Bachelor's or Master's degree in science related field (Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, etc.)
Compensation for the Molecular Research Associate
Salary: between $55,000 – $64,000 based on years of relevant experience Benefits: Full Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, PTO, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays
