📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Piper Companies is seeking a Network Automation Engineer for our specialty DNS mitigation and network security architecture client. In this Network Automation Engineer position you would be responsible for leading the development of automated networks, configuring of production network resources, and serving as SME for high-level production escalations.
Responsibilities for the Network Automation Engineer include
Establish networking environments by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; schedule upgrades; collaborate with network architects on network optimization Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access Report network operational status by gathering and reporting system information Collaborate with other engineers and architects on network automation development efforts
Qualifications for the Network Automation Engineer include
A minimum of 4 years of experience in network engineering and automation scripting 3+ years developing with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible) 3+ years Python development and automation 2+ years experience with BGP
Compensation for the Network Automation Engineer include
Pay Rate: $67-74/hr W2 - Salary Range: $140,000-150,000 base salary Full Benefits Coverage:Health, Dental, Vision, 401K15% Annual Bonus
