Unified Communication Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking several Unified Communications (UC) Engineers to join a long term DoD program contract job opportunity supporting Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in the following locations:

San Antonio, TXColumbus, OHOgden, UTO'Fallon, IL

Fully-funded through 2027, The UC Engineer will assist with NOC Support of worldwide video and voice services. These on-site positions require an active SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities for the UC Engineer include

Perform network and telecommunications system incident investigation.Oversee DoD-wide voice/video support hardware and services (legacy and current offerings): Voice telephony switching on Unclassified and Classified networks, mobile flyaway kits, Voice Internet Service Provider (VISP), and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems.Maintain, troubleshoot, document and repair network devices to include phone systems, call managers, VTC’s, network infrastructure and trunk circuits.

Required Qualifications for the UC Engineer include

2+ years of experience with Information Technology focused on networkingProficiency in TDM telephone switches, VoIP, Call Manager, or VTC systemsHands on experience with CISCO, Juniper, Nortel, ACME Packet, Oracle, Palo Alto, Session Boarder Controllers (SBC), or H.323 endpoints.Ability to perform troubleshooting, configuration, and restoration of services across multiple platforms.General understanding of IP and transport network topologiesIAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent)Active Secret Clearance

Compensation for the UC Engineer include

Salary Range: $110,000-135,000 **depending on experience** Full Standard Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, etc.
