📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Piper Companies is seeking a XDR Consultant (Remote) to join a premier cyber security organization. The XDR Consultant will function as the Cortex Technical Lead and Palo Alto Networks Solutions Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Responsibilities of the XDR Consultant include
Deploy and configure XDR across customer environments, including endpoints and cloud environmentsTune and optimize endpoint agents to maximize security effectiveness while minimizing operational impactAssist in building policies based on machine learning and behavioral analyticsAnalyze logs and events generated by XDR to identify, investigate, and mitigate security incidentsInteract with the Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 to analyze and remediate cybersecurity events (Remediation limited to Firewall Implementation/Configuration/Hardening)Collaborate with Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 and customers to develop recommendations and roadmaps for enhancing the effectiveness of customer’s cybersecurity controlsCommunicate and lead effectively in a crisis situation with all levels of a customer’s organization
Qualifications for the XDR Consultant include
5+ years in a technical consulting or engineering roleExperience deploying and managing XDR platforms, expertise in endpoint agent deployment and configurationStrong understanding of endpoint security technologies, such as software firewalls, antivirus, anti-malware, and endpoint protection platformsKnowledge of machine learning and behavioral analytics principles, enabling the development and tuning of effective security policiesAbility to analyze logs and events generated by XDR to detect and respond to security incidentsSolid understanding of security concepts, frameworks, and best practices, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance to customers

Compensation for the XDR Consultant includes
Hourly Rate: $60-70/hrFull benefits: Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401k, Flexible work schedulePTO, Paid holidays
