We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with specialized expertise in Ultrasonic Testing (UT). The CWI will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welded components and structures through inspection and testing. The ideal candidate must hold a valid CWI certification and possess UT certification for assessing welds and identifying defects using ultrasonic testing methods. This position will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

ResponsibilitiesConduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with specified welding procedures and codes. Perform thorough examinations of welds using various inspection techniques, including ultrasonic testing. Identify and document weld defects, discontinuities, and imperfections in accordance with established criteria and standards.Ultrasonic Testing (UT): Utilize ultrasonic testing equipment to assess the integrity of welds and detect internal defects or anomalies.Interpret UT results and produce detailed reports outlining the findings and recommendations. Ensure the accuracy and calibration of UT equipment.Ensure adherence to industry codes, welding procedures, and relevant standards during inspections. Stay up to date with the latest welding techniques, technologies, and industry best practices. Valid CWI Certification: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from a recognized certification body.UT Certification: Valid certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) from an accredited organization.Welding Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and standards.

Documentation and Reporting:Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, detailing inspection results, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, including weld documentation, UT reports, and relevant certifications.Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure proper documentation of inspection results and compliance with project requirements.Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with welding personnel, QA/QC, project managers, and engineering teams to address welding-related issues and concerns. Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.Demonstrated experience in welding inspection and ultrasonic testing in mechanical industries.Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and interpret welding defects accurately.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate inspection findings.Safety Consciousness: A strong commitment to safety and the ability to promote a safe working environment.Team Player: Capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
