What You Will Be DoingAre you a skilled Project Scheduler looking to join a dynamic team in the industrial mechanical construction industry? Our client, a leading contractor in Houston, Texas, is seeking a detail-oriented individual to coordinate and lead scheduling efforts for their projects.
The Ideal CandidateCoordinate with superintendents to plan and sequence work effectivelyLead daily and weekly planning sessions with field teams for schedule updatesCommunicate the plan and planning process effectively to clientsDefend the plan to clientsWork with Site Management team to develop and build the schedule, update logic, resources, change orders, and progressResource load a schedule in collaboration with Project Management, Estimating, the Site Management Team, and ControlsEvaluate variance reports and document/report on delays and impactsCollaborate with Project Management and Site Manager on resource leveling and optimization weeklyCoordinate with scheduling teams from clients and vendors to ensure proper integrationPerform quality checks on the schedule to ensure plan sufficiencyPerform 3WLA (Weekly Work Look-Ahead) comparison to schedule and updateExport 3WLA activities from the scheduleEvaluate free and total float for the contract scheduleCoordinate with internal software for scheduling purposes
Other Essential FunctionsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in project scheduling within the construction industryProficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of construction scheduling principles and techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities
