📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Planet Technology has partnered with a Cincinnati company to locate a SQL DBA for a contract-to-hire position.
Responsibilities:Provide for support for MS SQL databases utilizing SSRS, SSIS and SSAS servers and applicationsImplement appropriate level of best practices for constraints, referential integrity, and triggersCreate and support ETL processes for data from SQL and non-SQL platforms into a data warehouseUnderstand and evaluate business requirements and translate them in to specific database solutionsProvide leadership in establishing and documenting data standardsAnalyze impact of various upgrades and take appropriate action to mitigate potential risk (ex: service pack upgrades)Use querying and performance monitoring tools to analyze current and future SQL statements, stored procedures and database designDocument models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones through data flowchartingUnderstand and implement disaster recovery strategies
Minimum Qualifications/ExperienceAt least 4 years of SQL DBA related professional experienceAssociate’s degree in Computer Science or related field but similar work experience, technical skills or relevant certification may be considered in place of bachelor's degree;Must be up to date on relevant technologies
