About the roleThe Infrastructure Projects team is a growing group of leads and engineers who manage large Buildout and Relocation initiatives alongside smaller Infrastructure Service Improvement projects. A Senior Infrastructure Projects Engineer needs to be able to work independently when needed, while staying in sync with the team, consultants, and clients. Our primary priority is clear communication and expectation-setting. This team is client-facing with regular travel so an ideal candidate thrives on being able to communicate highly technical information to C-Suite or Executive Suite stakeholders at our Clients. The location for this role is in the California Bay Area.What is the work like?

Our clients in the Bay Area are showing consistent growth. This manifests as a lot of movement into and out of office spaces. In both of our client verticals, we find ourselves:Joining OAC calls to work closely with Construction Teams and their subcontractors for pieces that impact Low Voltage and Audiovisual installations.Designing, ordering, and implementing a full network stack (Switching, Firewalls and Wireless). Tracking down ISPs and walking with them for Site Surveys up through circuit activation.

There is a lot of on-site work but there will be instances where you are doing various, remote value-add efforts (Predictive Wireless Surveys, License Renewals, Maintenance or Post-Installation Support).

Who are we looking for?We are looking for an IT operations generalist who works well with technical and non-technical people, is interested in improving processes, is an adept project manager and has an appreciation for documentation and detailed specs. Going a bit further, we’re looking for someone who will help develop and maintain the standards for the processes we are using and loves working in an environment of continuous improvement. Finally, this individual has worked with enough technology, be it networking, virtualization, SaaS, IaaS, or AV, that they can can use foundational basics to pick up new technology and skillsets.ResponsibilitiesManage and be accountable for the success of small to large-scale IT projects such as office moves and network upgradesCollaborate with the Infrastructure Projects Team Manager and leads to develop and maintain project strategies and process creation in their scopeAutomate and orchestrate common tasks to drive efficiencies and innovationWork closely with both the team and client-facing consultants to design and implement best practices for project implementationCreate meaningful documentation to facilitate project hand-off to ConsultantsProvide back-end escalations support as neededRequirements:Should HaveSolid understanding of Windows Server and on-premise server hardware/network infrastructureSolid understanding of networking concepts and how to apply them to design and configure networks such as, but not limited toWorking knowledge of EntraID, Office365, Google Workspace, and cloud-based storage (Egnyte, Box, Dropbox, etc.)Experience with new office construction, including working with architects and general contractors and subcontractorsExceptional planning and organizational abilityStrong documentation and communication skillsAptitude and desire to learn new technologiesAbility to teach and mentor othersResearch products and new technologies to improve project lifecycleThe physical strength and agility to rack networking, compute, and storage hardware.The ability to wear personal protective equipment correctly for up to a full working day when on an active job siteThe ability to move safely in confined spaces (networking closets, for example) and around active constructionAuthorization to work in the USA for any employerNice to HaveUnderstanding of identity and access management (IAM) fundamentals (SSO, SAML, OAuth, etc.)Experience with AV design for meeting and conference roomsExperience interacting with and using REST APIs

Salary: $100,000-$130,000 per year dependent on experience
