Medical Malpractice Paralegal

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice law and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:1. Assist attorneys in all phases of medical malpractice litigation, from case inception to trial preparation and settlement negotiations.2. Conduct thorough medical and legal research related to cases, including reviewing medical records, expert reports, and other relevant documents.3. Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.4. Communicate with clients, medical providers, and experts to gather information and evidence for cases.5. Organize and maintain case files, including electronic and physical documents.6. Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and court appearances.7. Prepare trial exhibits and assist attorneys during trials as needed.8. Stay updated on changes in medical malpractice laws and regulations.9. Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.2. Paralegal certificate or equivalent certification preferred.3. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal in medical malpractice law.4. Proficiency in legal research and case management software.5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.8. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures preferred.9. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
