As a Senior Technical Writer, you'll be responsible for composing multiple content pieces per week detailing trends, topics, and subject matter pertaining to real estate. These can range from compository articles breaking down complex subjects for technical readers, such as foreclosure investing, distressed real estate, or D4D, all the way to investigative articles breaking the latest news or market shifts.

This is an exciting opportunity to significantly broaden your editorial reach, as well as be a driving force in impactfully telling our story, as well as educating small local businesses on the good they can do with our platform.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:Writing to assignment, as well as researching topics asynchronously to proactively pitch pieces that fall under our main topics of interest, including small local businesses, Hyperlocal Lead Generation, real estate investing, residential and commercial real estate, home services, and more.Leveraging your own real-world examples and extensive lived knowledge in the field to craft credible and technical editorial across multiple formats and content types, including web copy, blog articles, webinar scripts, social posts, and more.Working alongside other collaborators and editors to revise your own work, and that which has been previously published, to ensure the highest level of digital optimization, incorporating additional strategies and approaches to elevate past publications and draw in new readers.Drafting against deadline, with a focus on in-depth yet efficient narratives, effortlessly balancing quality with quantity as we work to expand our property-centric news division.

ABOUT YOU:You have an extensive background in the industry. You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in hands-on roles within real estate, such as a licensed Realtor, real estate agent, flipper/contractor, real estate investor, or mortgage broker.You have stories to tell. You have a minimum of 2 years of experience writing text for publication and distribution across both print and digital platforms. A relevant portfolio or linked list of articles is required for consideration.You know how to get your writing seen. You specialize in writing SEO and rank able content and have the track record to prove it. Fluency in SEO programs such as SEMrush and Surfer SEO is preferred.You want to level up. You have a willingness to accept feedback and edit efficiently. An eagerness to discuss additional angles and perspectives is required. We all make each other better here, and collaboration is the key to our success.You have strong connections. An established network of real estate professionals and collaborators willing to contribute to and be interviewed for upcoming articles is a plus.
