Job SummaryNiche food manufacturer currently selling to the commercial market is ready to grow the retail side of their business. They currently have products in all 166 Giant food stores within the DE/MD/DC/VA market and would like this Sales Director to forge relationships with other grocery chains, smaller retailers and gourmet food shops. Qualified candidates will have at least 5+ years of selling consumer products (strongly prefer food) to the retail grocery market. *** PLEASE NOTE: Those coming from working for grocery stores or those selling apparel/other items to non-grocers will not be considered for this position ***. Must understand the inner workings of the food sales market and understand the players involved in decision making at both the regional and corporate levels. Position requires regional travel throughout the DE/MD/DC/VA market so applicants must reside locally (within territory). Base salary of $120-150K and bonuses as well as $1,000 month car allowance and a phenomenal team to work with. Ready to hire immediately!
