Job Description
Powell is dedicated to the future growth and talent of our company. We offer internship opportunities to college students through a 10–12-week internship program. Our interns receive hands on experience, training and the opportunity to work on a project in their specific area of study.
The Mechanical Engineering internship will be focused on creating a new standard design for door stops for Powell product lines. Ideal applicants will be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Job Requirements
A successful intern at Powell will have the following characteristics:
Currently pursuing a 4-year degree from an accredited institutionRising Junior or Senior level students continuing their studies in the fall semesterGood academic standing; minimum 3.0 GPATeam-player, self-starter, effective communicator, & dependablePossess multi-tasking abilities and strong inter-personal skillsIntermediate drafting/CAD skillsAbility to interact with personnel from different disciplines within PowellBasic computer skills using Microsoft Office productsAble to read and interpret electrical symbols, characters, and drawings preferred
