Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer Job Summary
POWER Engineers is seeking an Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department in our Denver office located in Lakewood, Colorado.
Responsibilities
The Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer will be involved in all aspects of civil design for substations, including permitting, site work, structural and foundation design, and support of substation physical design and equipment layout. Occasional travel will be required.
Required Education/Experience
BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited universityThe candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnelThe candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
Desired Education/Experience
Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveyingStructural analysis design software experience is a plusPrevious engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirableEngineer In Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $70k-$74k per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
