Packer Job Summary

In the role of the Material Packer, you will inspect for quality, keep accurate counts and paperwork, and stack the product into boxes on the skid. You will perform assigned tasks to assist line operators in maintaining accurate counts, and to maintain a clean & safe work environment. In this role you will learn basic operations of the converting line. You will be essential to the success of the organization and the last line of defense in ensuring the product s we produce are of the highest quality!

Responsibilities

You will work each of the four stations of the Packer role as well as conduct rework and non-standard work assignments, to include, but not limited to: Pallet Stacker Station: At this station you will be assembling cardboard lids, conducting quality checks, removing full boxes of mailers off the skate table, and stacking them on a finished good pallet. Box Making Station: At this station you will be constructing cardboard boxes. Mailer Packer Station: At this station you will be packing the mailers into the constructed box on the conveyor belt and conducting active quality checks. Utility Packer Station: In this role you will be assisting other positions in their duties, conducting quality checks, assisting in quality containment activities, and monitoring finished good time stamp. Rework and nonstandard work assignments: In this role you will be performing general housekeeping, reworking material that is out of customer specification, and other non-standard work after being properly trained.

Knowledge

To be successful in this position, you will need: The ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others. Promote a positive teamwork culture. Be knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
