Business Analyst

About the Company

Premier Finder is hiring a Business Analyst for Clarisight Consulting to support the development of data-driven insights for their client in the Utility Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading interactions with key stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, merge disparate datasets, conduct analysis, and present findings to Director-level stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

Technical skills:Navigate modules within and execute reports out of SAP and supporting data sources.Develop data connections and combine disparate datasets leveraging Excel, PowerQuery, and/or SQL.Normalize data so it integrates with preferred visualization tools.Develop rules to spot anomalies in large datasets which support QC, aligning with the client’s business requirements.Leverage visualization tools like PowerBI to generate interactive dashboards for Director-level stakeholders.

Project Management:Break projects into milestones and communicate timelines to the client.Develop project status reports to keep client apprised of progress to-date, hurdles, and anticipated delays.Set up and facilitate regularly cadenced project stakeholder meetings.Work cross-functionally with various workgroups to generate understanding.Document findings in a data-dictionary to ensure orderly data-management and recall.

Communication: Strong active listener with the ability to apply a consultative approach during client interactions.Excellent Interpersonal skills with a strong ability to develop relationships.Ability to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly and in a concise manner.Possess a service-oriented attitude and ability to anticipate customer needs.Excellent written skills and ability to formulate data-driven findings in ppt’s and slide decks.

Experience:3-6 years as a Business Analyst developing data driven insights.Experience in Construction.Preferred experience in the Utility Industry.Experience using SQL, PowerQuery (optional), Advanced Excel, PowerBI.Preferred experience with Analysis for Microsoft Office.
