Join us as a Low-Voltage Telecommunications Designer. This role entails overseeing all facets of technical design and development within a remote environment, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, primarily focusing on healthcare projects.
The Low Voltage Telecommunications Designer will play a key role in the entire telecommunications design process including preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, problem resolution, drawing and specification production, and client and vendor accessibility.
Responsibilities
Design, document, and test data, voice, and video cabling in accordance with industry standardsOversee the inspection, documentation, and evaluation of cabling infrastructuresCollaborate across departments to determine optimal system implementationsServe as the primary telecommunications liaison between clients, architects, and engineersAttend client meetings and site visits as necessaryProvide end-user training as needed
Requirements
A degree (associate's, bachelor's, or technical institute), or equivalent experience, preferably in Electrical Engineering.Candidates should possess over 5 years of design experience, with a focus on IT infrastructure projects.Certification as a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is required.Proficiency in designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings, along with knowledge of relevant industry standards, is essential.Experience in Healthcare low-voltage design
