Senior Java Software Engineer
My name is Bill Stevens and I have a new contract to hire Senior Java Software Engineer opportunity available for a major firm with office located Holmdel, New Jersey, Midtown, Manhattan, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania or Danbury, Connecticut that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The work schedule will be a hybrid two days a week in either of the firms offices and three days remote.
The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship. No Visa entanglements and no H-1B holding Companies.
This position pays $80.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis or $90.00 per hour on a Corp basis. The Corp rate is for independent contractors only and not third-party firms.
We are looking for candidates who are heavy on the developer side and not as much on the administration side.
Responsibilities:Engage with the firms business lines for business project solution requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, and deliverable executionDevelop new and enhance existing software applicationsProvide application supportGenerate technical documentation sets for development, implementation, and supportPerform and support all stages of application testingSupport Amazon Web Services Cloud application design and deploymentSupport IT Security and IT Risk/Compliance vulnerability remediationsCollaborate with other IT teams to solve problems and achieve collective goalsContribute to the talent growth of team and self via Knowledge Transfers, Trainings/Certifications, Peer Reviews, and Guidance of junior team membersUtilize best practices in software development, engineering, and administrationBe cognizant of technology trends and roadmaps within our spaceDemonstrate an understanding of our company’s values and maintain a positive, professional attitude as a team member in a diverse environment
Experience components for this role:Seven to ten years of software engineering experience including development, implementation, admin/support, and life cycle governanceExperience in Java/J2EE technologiesExperience in HTML, CSS, JavaScriptDesign and develop the web application and RESTful web services using Spring boot frameworkExperience with REST and SOAP servicesExperience working with RDBMS such as SQL ServerExperience with model-view-controller (MVC) architectureExperience with Dojo/Dijit/widget
Knowledge of IBM FileNet Content Manager or Content Navigator is a plus only and is NOT required.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field
