Treasury Associate

Do you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy ensuring financial accuracy?Then this Treasury Clerk position at our Austin, Texas location might be perfect for you“Job Title - Treasury ClerkLocation - Austin, Texas JOB SUMMARY The Treasury Clerk reports directly to the Supervisor, Treasury. This position is responsible for the maintenance and distribution of adequate inventories of tickets and passes at numerous retail outlets and secure revenues derived from the sale of those tickets and passes. All assets collected from fare boxes by probing personnel are retrieved by the Treasury Clerk from the fare box mobile depository vaults and transferred by forklift to the treasury room for the daily counting process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Distribute tickets and passes to retail outlets and secure revenues from those outlets for sold tickets and passes. • Maintain accurate inventories and documentation of tickets and passes delivered and revenues collected. • Recommend changes to retail outlet inventory levels of tickets and passes in response to changes in sales trends. • Count fixed route assets daily utilizing currency and coin counting equipment. • Prepare a daily deposit report and distribute a copy to the Staff Accountant. • Inventory all passes and booklets from the supplier. • Reconcile consignment list for monthly consignment. • Prepare the monthly and quarterly sales consignments to be delivered to retail outlets. • Verify and balance previous month’s returns from retail outlets, prepare month end reports, and distribute a copy to the Staff Accountant. • Forward a copy of the prepared daily deposit to Supervisor, Treasury. • Prepare for mailing and distribute accounts payable checks. • Oversee all bulk sales of passes and booklets including online sales. • Follow Records Management Policy & Program. • Support Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by following safety and security policies, considering safety in every action and reporting safety and security concerns. • Other duties as required and/or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • One (1) year experience of direct customer contact in cashier, bank teller, or commercial bank vault related activities. • Must be bondable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Working knowledge of cashier and bank teller currency and coin counting processes. • Skill in using word processing and spreadsheet applications. • Skill in composing and preparing a variety of documents and reports. • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs to complete job related tasks. • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, vendors and the general public. • Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and overtime

Certification and License

• Within 45 days of employment, successfully complete an OSHA certified training class for forklift operation conducted by Capital Metro.
