📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Title: RN PsychiatryLocation: Brooklyn, NY 11212 Shift: 8AM - 8:30PM (3 Days in a week.)Duration: 3 Months with strong possibility of extensionPay Range: $65 to $75/Hour.
Job Description:Utilize the nursing process in the provision of direct patient care. Responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating all care provided to assigned patients. Delivery of care is based on the standards of care and practices established by the Department of Nursing and other policies and procedures (hospital, nursing, multidisciplinary). Diagnose and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems through such services as case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care supportive or to restorative of life and well-being.
Skills:Assess the immediate and continuing care needs of the patient/significant other.Develop comprehensive and current plans of care which include physical needs, patient, patient teaching, and discharge planning and psychosocial/spiritual needs.Assumes charge responsibilities as delegated by the Nurse/Manager designee.Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, significant others, and staff.Develop comprehensive and current plans of care which include physical needs, patient, patient teaching, and discharge planning and psychosocial/spiritual needs.Participates in research and pilot projects supported by the Nursing Department.
Required experience:2 years’ experience in Psychiatric support.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Licensed and Certificates:Registered Nurse License – New YorkBLS from the American Heart AssociationACLS - Preferred
