What You’ll Be Doing:Prepare purchase orders for review and input.Vendor Management for orders and quality issuesMarket and Trend AnalysisPrepare inventory reports, analyze inventory levels for replenishmentUpdate inventory maintenance files.Assist sales staff with pricing and product availabilityReconcile backorders with the manufacturers.Acquire all product specifications either from the manufacturer or through product review.Sourcing new products and negotiating contractsBuilding 3 month rolling forecast for inventory planningEnter spiffs and promotions in the system for tracking purposes and prepare documentation for vendor reimbursement.Work with the marketing department to ensure product information/spreadsheets for printed media and online events are compiled in a timely manner and prices are updated in our system. Attend trade shows, visit manufacturer facilities, and attend company shows as required.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in business or related major preferredAt least 4 years of purchasing experience Manufacturing OEM Supplier industry experience REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATIONAbility to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with co-workers and vendors.Proficiency in Word and Excel, which requires a detailed understanding of Excel spreadsheets.-
