📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
What You'll Do
As an Internal Wholesaler – Small Market in Retirement Solutions, you will work in partnership with two external wholesalers to generate and manage pipeline, close sales and develop mutually profitable advisor relationships within your territory.
Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:
Direct preparation of proposals and other sales materialsLead or participate in sales presentations to prospective clientsAssist the field sales representative in closing deals from $0 to $20MProvide training and mentorship for newer team membersRepresent the team in marketing and product development initiatives

Who You Are
Requires a bachelor's degree or 8+ years of equivalent experience.Requires 2+ years of relevant experienceRetirement plan wholesaling experience, is highly preferredRequires ability to work independently.Persuasive written and verbal communication (including telephone) skills.Excellent presentation skills.Occasional travel, including overnight stays, is required (5-10%).
The following licensing is required, to be considered
Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63 or equivalent)Resident Life and Health appointment
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$57000 - $77900 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role can be filled in Wisconsin or Des Moines, IA.
Work Environment
This role offers hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
