Operations Analyst

What You'll Do

As an Operations Analyst, you’ll support the execution of activities related to the creation and maintenance of investment data and communications for the benefit of retirement plan stakeholders!

A few of your day to day duties will include

Maintaining investment data in databases and materials and prepare reports on the data.Perform research and assist with building new funds and other non-proprietary investment options. Participate in relationships with outside investment providers which make their products available to retirement plans at Principal.Participate in the design of trainings regarding the investment platform, investment projects, and related topics. Assist with projects regarding events impacting investment platform options including regulation changes, mergers, closures, policy changes, etc.

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, required, preferably in finance or business. 3+ years of work experience (Experience with investment/mutual fund operations or related is preferred).Opportunity for FINRA licensing but not required.Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills required. Must be detailed oriented. Must have good problem solving, planning, and time management skills.Must have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, exercise flexibility when dealing with people and effectively communicate with internal and external contacts at all levels.Proficiency with Word and Excel required.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$51000 - $98400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC.
