Information Technology (IT) Intern Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team. The IT Intern will support our in-house IT department in providing minor technical assistance to users, and monitoring reports from our security system. The successful candidate will be able to assist with the implementation of new projects, such as 5S, hardware inventory, and supporting the department when necessary.

Responsibilities For IT Support Technician

Provide support to Group Director of ITMonitor cyber security reports and report findings to Group Director of ITTrack phishing training to make sure that all new employees are getting trained.Create and Maintain an IT/computer inventory system. Assist department in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.Organize and file documentation pertaining to software license renewals.Ability to travel to other plants within Prism. Some travel may be required.Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications For Technical Support

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldKnowledge of computer systems and softwareKnowledge of network and system securityFamiliarity with hardware and software installationExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and customer service skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamAble to learn quickly and adapt to changing technologyAbility to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficientlyAttention to detail and great problem-solving skills.Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services.Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clientsTime-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
