📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Procession Systems is seeking a Cyber Threat Hunter to join our program in the DMV area. This will be supporting a new, fully funded contract award with the mission of maintaining the cybersecurity posture of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania across all of their Enterprise IT Systems.
Responsibilities of the Cyber Threat Hunter Include: Integrate and analyze threat observables into the SIEM platform to facilitate real-time monitoring of potential cyber threats targeting CoPA infrastructure.Provide timely notifications and comprehensive reports on new and emerging security threats impacting CoPA infrastructure, including descriptions of major threats, evolving threat landscapes, attack vectors, and associated indicators.Develop actionable Courses of Action (COAs) to mitigate identified security threats effectively.Conduct proactive threat hunting activities by leveraging threat intelligence feeds and analyzing system alerts within the SIEM environment.Develop and refine SIEM use cases and hypotheses to detect and respond to previously unidentified threats within CoPA's infrastructure.Deliver threat advisories to CoPA stakeholders, detailing threat vectors, potential impacts, and recommended mitigation measures upon the identification of security threats.Execute necessary corrective actions for security alerts and threat advisories triggered on SOC-managed devices.Requirements for the Cyber Threat Hunter Include:5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Experience with Fortinet Firewalls and Fortiweb Web Application FirewallAbility to obtain a Public TrustCompensation for the Cyber Threat Hunter Includes:Salary: $140,000-&160,000 (Commensurate with Experience)80% Company paid employee health care planUnlimited PTO6% 401k contributionContinuous Training and Education Budget
