About the jobProfectus has partnered with a commercial real estate company in the Woodlands, TX area, and they are seeking a Corporate Accountant (temp-to-perm) to join their team. The Corporate Accountant will possess a strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries with regards to the commercial real estate industry. Additional duties will consist of the following:Understanding of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash receipts, bank reconciliations, and lease administration functions of commercial real estate and how they drive the financial results of assigned properties.Perform detailed analysis as required.Responsible for daily cash accounting, monthly bank reconciliations, credit card coding, and other accounting duties as necessaryAssist Controller/Managers in ad hoc projects as needed.Provide explanations of significant variances in accounts as requested.Data gathering for financial and compliance reporting.Assist in resolving accounting issues and setting accounting standards that comply with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles.Prepare detailed interim and year-end working papers and support schedules as needed for internal/external auditors. The ideal candidate is “Required” to have an associates degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in commercial real estate along with real estate software (e.g., QuickBooks Desktop) and Microsoft 365 Products.
