HR Team Lead (Generalist)

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees the daily administration and coordination of the human resource function.Supports all functional areas of Human Resources. To include recruitment and retention; benefits administration; employee relations; team building; compliance reporting & audits; training & development; leave management; and administration / project management as needed.Recruitment / Retention: Works alongside with Recruiters to analyze employee data and advise leadership with recommendations for retention efforts and new recruitment strategy ideas.Benefits Administration: Coordinates monthly and annual benefit enrollment meetings, preparing documentation, notifying participants, and coordinating enrollments with Insurance Broker / Carriers. Oversee the annual open enrollment process. Be available to staff as subject matter expert for all PEC benefit plans.Employee Relations: Completes investigations and documentation of formal complaints; Assist Managers with corrective actions & PIPs.Oversees and monitors the performance evaluation process and recommends performance improvement plans, as needed.Team Building: Facilitates team discussions and assist Managers with conflict resolution amongst teams using PI certification.Administration: Provides administrative support to Managers as requested.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Periodic travel to remote offices, scheduled career fairs, and other trips as required.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience required.PHR or SHRM-CP Certification strongly preferred.Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources role.Prior managerial experience preferred.Strong ability to use MS Office, databases and HRIS Systems.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
