📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Professional Search Group (PSG) is currently working with a leading medical care and assisted living company in Irvine, CA that is looking for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist. They are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the team. The primary responsibilities include applying negative accounts, cleaning up AR discrepancies, reviewing transactions, and analyzing small balances. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, bring strong medical billing/coding experience, and be proficient in handling numerical data accurately.
Responsibilities:· Analyze healthcare revenue cycle collections and billing processes.· Review claims, patient copays, and billing configurations.· Apply negative accounts balances and reconcile discrepancies in AR records.· Review transactions and analyze small balance accounts.· Clean up AR by eliminating double accounts and balancing discrepancies.· Ensure accuracy in patient eligibility verification and dispute resolution.· Collaborate with the billing and collections team to streamline processes.
Requirements:· 3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle collections or medical billing preferred.· Proficiency in using accounting software, specifically Consolo and WellSky.· Strong Excel skills including auto sums and formulas.· Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.· Familiarity with medical billing, claims processing, and insurance billing.· Experience with hospice billing is a major plus.· Ability to follow directions and a willingness to
