Position: Claims Adjuster

Location: Tulsa, OK

Pay: $60,000/yr

Experience: Previous experience with Workers’ Compensation or the legal system

Education: Property and Casualty License in Oklahoma (required)

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Job Description

Conduct three-point investigations by first contacting the employer, then the doctor, and then the employee Take recorded statements based on information obtained in the initial investigation or as requested by the client or supervisor Gather witness statements with the assistance of the client Report claims to the ISO (Index Bureau) to determine if the claimant has any liability or other personal injury claims Obtain medical records and review them to determine any pre-existing conditions Schedule independent medical evaluations when necessary Provide letters of denial to all involved parties if compensability is denied Initiate benefits and authorize applicable medical treatment and specialists if compensability is determined Upon payment of all medical or indemnity expenses, send a letter of demand requesting reimbursement Other duties as assigned
