Summary: Our award-winning client is seeking a Senior Design Specialist to join their team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing next-generation robotic systems. You will work closely with project and application engineers, leveraging your expertise in CAD, industry standards, and collaboration to bring ideas to life.
Responsibilities: Utilize Epicor software to manage projects, translate customer specifications into detailed layouts and bills of material, and create accurate production release drawings.Evaluate components, consider cost and design objectives, and ensure all designs meet industry standards and quality requirements.Adhere to ISO procedures, participate in design reviews, and provide valuable feedback to continuously improve our processes.Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement design changes based on test results, and develop innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.Mentor junior designers and co-op engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 6 years of experience in machine/system design and AutoCAD drafting.Expertise in Solid Edge or SolidWorks (or similar 3D modeling and CAD software).Proficiency in applying Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) principles.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
